Charlie Murphy of Chelmsford has run out of options.

His teenager daughter has cystic fibrosis and was diagnosed with diabetes two years ago.

While her drugs are covered by various government plans, Murphy, a single father who lives on a disability pension, is finding it difficult to pay for the needles and blood sugar testing items his daughter requires.

He estimates that the cost is as much as $220 per month.

It makes him angry that if he were a drug addict he would be able to get the same needles his daughter needs to live free.

Murphy says he has tried to get help from government programs, his MPP and even service groups.

Murphy is appealing to the community to help his daughter. Anyone who would like to help this dad can e-mail him at [email protected]
