Sudbury episode of Amazing Race airs tonight!

Anticipation is pretty high to see Greater Sudbury immortalized on one of the country’s most popular TV shows — the Amazing Race Canada episode featuring the Nickel City airs tonight on CTV at 9 p.m.

You could watch it at home, we suppose. But what better way to see the community on TV than to watch TV with the community?

Science North hosts a massive Amazing Race Canada Community Viewing Party this evening from 8-10 p.m. on the grounds of the science centre.

As a special treat, Science North CEO Guy Labine announced last week that between 4-8 p.m. on Aug. 12, admission prices to the science centre will be cut in half as a special “amazing” offering.

NorthernLife.ca has a little something to offer, too. When the episode was being filmed, we were given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the cast, crew, host and the super-secret celebrity guest (not-so-secret anymore since the show let the cat out of the bag this week) who will appear in the Aug. 12 episode.

Season 3 of Amazing Race Canada has been watched by 8.9 million viewers, that amounts to one in four Canadians, making it one of the country’s biggest TV shows.
