Registered candidates for the Ontario PC Leadership will be in Sudbury for the first candidate debate of the contest on Nov. 24, the party said in a press release issued Nov. 18.

The debate will be moderated by Richard Ciano, president of the Ontario PC Party.

Tim Hudak announced he would be stepping down as party leader after the Tories' poor showing in the last provincial election, in which the Liberals surprised many by winning a majority.

Looking to take over the leadership is Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod, Whitby-Oshawa MPP Christine Elliott, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex Monte McNaughton, Barrie Tory MP Patrick Brown (the only candidate not a sitting provincial member) and Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli, the only candidate from Northern Ontario.

The debate will also be live-streamed at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ontario-pc---pctv.
