Tutor Doctor of Sudbury recently earned Franchisee of the Year honours.
The local tutoring business is also celebrating a milestone of being in business for 15 years. Operated by sisters Veronyk Zinn and Tiffanie Cormier since 2017, the business has been operating since 2008.
“Tutor Doctor Sudbury's impact extends far beyond academic success,” states a press release on the honour. “With a team of 120 dedicated tutors, they have served students ranging from 18 months old to adults of all ages, including their eldest student, a 77-year-old learner who was rewriting her driver’s test.”
Tutor Doctor Sudbury also partners with local organizations like the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC), where its tutors work with children undergoing cancer treatment.
“Receiving this award is truly an honour and a humbling experience for us. It’s a moment that resonates deeply, especially considering our mom's receipt of the award back in 2009,” Veronyk Zinn said. “We’ve been fortunate to help hundreds of students of all ages in the Sudbury area, and we owe it all to the incredible support and trust of our community. We wouldn't be where we are today without our phenomenal team of tutors, and for that, we are immensely grateful.”
In celebration of their 15-year anniversary, Tutor Doctor of Sudbury is hosting an exclusive, invite-only event at the end of March, engaging exhibits, face painting, and interactive vendor booths, all while contributing to the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer, the press release states.

The “Franchisee of the Year Award” recognizes the franchisee who has led the company to outstanding business success and innovation and has consistently demonstrated community commitment and support.
