Support the care of animals in need at the Friends for Life! Walk

Ontario SPCA Sudbury and District Animal Centre hosts one of 12 events taking place across the province

Honour your special pet, past or present, by participating in the Ontario SPCA Sudbury and District Animal Centre's Friends for Life! Walk Sunday, Sept. 15 to raise funds for animals in need.

Sudbury is one of 12 communities across Ontario hosting a Friends for Life! Walk this September. Funds raised will support programs and services provided by Ontario SPCA and Humane Society animal centres across the province.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the event, regardless of whether they are a pet owner. Those unable to attend are encouraged to register as a virtual walker, allowing them to walk when and where it's convenient to them.

“The Friends for Life! Walk makes second chances possible for abused, neglected and homeless animals,” said Jen Hughes, Manager of the Ontario SPCA Sudbury and District Animal Center

“Whether you are walking for your furry best friend, a beloved past pet, or on behalf of animals across Ontario, know that by participating in the walk you are taking the first step to giving animals a second chance at an amazing life.”

The walk takes place at Adanac Ski Hill Sunday morning. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., with the walk itself taking place at 11 a.m.
