Support staff with Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord have reached a new three-year tentative agreement with the board, retroactive to September of 2022.**

The staff are members of OSSTF/FEESO (Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation/Federation Des Enseignantes-Enseignants Des Ecoles Secondaires De L'Ontario).

“The proposed agreement will enable both parties to continue offering quality services within our schools,” said Conseil scolaire board chair Anne-Marie Gelineault, in a press release.

"By working in partnership with our employees, we offer a harmonious learning environment for our students and contribute to the success of our schools.”

Both sides are expected to ratify the new agreement within the next few weeks, said the release.

**Correction: An earlier version of this story contained an error. The agreement is between the board and support staff, not between the board and teachers. Material put out by the school board in regard to this was unclear. Sudbury.com apologizes for the error.
