Media outlets are reporting today that the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario and the province are heading back to the bargaining table Sept. 1.
It will be the first time the two sides have talked labour deals since negotiations broke down at the beginning of May. According to a report in the Globe and Mail today, more talks are to take place Sept. 4, as well.
While other boards made arrangements to hold talks later this month, the ETFO held out, but has since decided to return to the bargaining table.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is to begin bargaining Aug. 18 and 19, while the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association sits down with the province this week.
