If you find yourself stuck in a sand trap at the Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic next month, at least you'll know the frustration is all for a good cause.

The annual golf tournament has raised $225,000 for the NEO Kids Foundation since its inception in 2015 and this year's edition aims to raise a cool $100,000, hopefully under the warm sun.

The Idylwylde Golf and Country Club hosts the tournament, which is already sold out, on July 17. Organizers are still looking to fill some volunteer positions and sponsorship opportunities.

“Our greatest responsibility as a community is the health of our citizens and certainly the health and wellness of our children is a top priority,” said President of the Palladino Auto Group, Vince Palladino. “The Palladino Auto Group is honoured to be involved with NEO Kids Foundation.”

NEO Kids aims to be the first children's health centre in Northern Ontario, which will allow families in the region to avoid traveling to Toronto or beyond to seek specialized pediatric treatment.
