The third annual Jordan Fram Memorial Golf Tournament will be taking place June 7 at the Timberwolf Golf Course, with 30 per cent of all profits raised going directly to the KICX for Kids fundraising campaign.

This fundraiser, along with many other events during the year, raises money to allow the Project Dance Competitive Group the opportunity to travel and compete throughout the province and represent Greater Sudbury.

The group gives back to the community in the form of local performances and dance scholarships, said Project Dance Competitive Group president Jeff Portelance in a news release. This year, the group has teamed up to donate to KICX for Kids, in memory of lost miner Jordan Fram.

“Jordan was an active member of the Project Dance family, and this is a great
way to honour his memory, and help a wonderful local cause,” said Portelance.

The KICX for Kids campaign was launched in October of 2011 with a goal of raising $250,000 over five years for pediatric care at Health Sciences North.

More than $250,000 was raised in less than three years, and as a result of this success, Phase 2 of KICX for Kids campaign has been launched to raise an additional
$250,000, in partnership with HSN and the HSN Foundation.
