Teen dirt bike driver sustains life-threatening injuries in collision

A 16-year-old boy from Dowling was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was involved in a collision with a school bus on May 13.

The boy was driving a dirt bike on a residential street at around 3 p.m. when the two vehicles collided. There were no children on board the bus at the time and the bus driver was not injured.

The driver of the dirt bike was rushed to hospital and was then transferred to an Ottawa hospital for additional treatment.

The collision is being investigated by the GSPS Traffic Management Unit. Investigators ask anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police at 705-675-9171 Ext 2411.
