A Sudbury university student was among a select group invited to Ottawa to celebrate the relationship between Canada and the U.S.
Prime Minsiter Justin Trudeau was there with his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden was there.
And so was Melanie-Rose Frappier, a Laurentian University student and longtime community volunteer, who’s work in the community has been honoured by Laurentian Publishing (the parent company of Northern Life, Sudbury.com and Sudbury Living Magazine) in the past.
The dinner was held on Dec. 8 in Ottawa. With Biden on a state visit to Canada, the event was held to celebrate the relationship between Canada and the United States.
