Members of the Sudbury Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police will be conducting Project Witches and Warlocks over the Halloween weekend.

Extra officers will be on patrol throughout the weekend looking for impaired drivers, conducting traffic enforcement in built up areas, and ensuring children enjoy a safe and happy Halloween. Officers will also be handing out reflective bags and candies to the children. Parents can do their part by reviewing simple safety rules with their children.

- Make sure the child?s costume has bright colours, if not, fluorescent tape works wonders for visibility. If possible, have a child carry a flashlight or a glow stick

- Inspect treats before allowing kids to eat them.
