Tony V’s Restaurant & Pizza hosted its fourth annual charity breakfast April 17, raising more than $4,100 for the Sudbury Charities Foundation.

Each year, the community is invited to enjoy a plated breakfast, purchase raffle tickets for door prizes and for the first time, guests had the opportunity to have their vehicle hand-washed by Dr. Clean Inc.

“It’s amazing to see friends and fellow business owners come together to make this event a huge success,” said Ryan Nesci, owner of Tony V’s. “From the food, to the prizes to the staff serving tables and cleaning cars, everything is donated.”

“With the nice weather and as we prepare to launch our Mobile Washing unit for another season, we figured this was a great way to get involved and get our team excited for another Sudbury summer,” said Keegan Bradley, vice-president of operations at Dr. Clean Inc.

This is the first year that the Sudbury Charities Foundation was on the receiving end of this event.

“We are very honored to be the recipient of the funds raised at the Charity Breakfast,” said Sean Bradley, president of the Sudbury Charities Foundation board.

“Through fundraising events such as the Charity Breakfast, we are able to make a huge impact on the lives of children right here in Greater Sudbury. It’s times like these that we are reminded of what a great city we live in- seeing the businesses come together to pull this off is truly incredible.”

The Sudbury Charities Foundation raises roughly $100,000 each year for underprivileged children in Sudbury through fundraising initiatives such as their annual gala dinner and The Festival of Lights at Science North.
