Traffic update: Fall's almost here, but construction season going strong

Here's where you might experience traffic tie-ups around Greater Sudbury

The official start of fall may be rapidly approaching, but construction season is still going strong.

Here's a list of construction projects (and potential traffic tie-ups) you might encounter across Greater Sudbury:

  • Douglas Street, Sudbury: Grinding and paving at 309 Douglas St. will reduce traffic to one lane from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Paris Street, Sudbury: Grinding and paving at 1361 Paris St. will close at least one lane of traffic from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Elm Street at Lisgar Street, Sudbury: Grinding and paving on Elm at Lisgar Street will reduce traffic to one lane from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Elm Street, Sudbury: Grinding and paving on Elm near the National Bank, will reduce traffic to one lane from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Errington Avenue at Highway 144, Chelmsford: Grinding and paving on Errington Avenue at Highway 144 will close at least one lane of traffic Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Paris Street, Sudbury: Lock stone work at 593 Paris St. will close at least one lane of traffic from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury: Grinding and paving 428, 664, 935 and 1505 Ramsey Lake Rd. as well as at Dixon Road, will reduce traffic to one lane from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Falconbridge Highway, Sudbury: Grinding and paving at 1261 Falconbridge Rd. will close at least one lane of traffic from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Bancroft Drive, Sudbury: Grinding and paving on Bancroft Drive from the Carmichael Arena to 1262 Bancroft Dr. will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Bancroft Drive, Sudbury: Grinding and paving at 847 and 865 Bancroft Dr. will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Bellevue Avenue, Sudbury: Grinding and paving on Bellevue Avenue from Ralph Street to Portage Avenue will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Diane Street, Sudbury: Grinding and paving at 1239 and 1249 Diane Street will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Longyear Drive, Falconbridge: Grinding and paving on Longyear Drive from Hardy to Parkinson Street will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • William Avenue, Coniston: Grinding and paving on William at Nickel Street will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept. 30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
  • Marcus Drive, Sudbury: Grinding and paving on Marcus Drive at the Home Depot entrance will reduce traffic to one lane from Thursday, Sept. 12 to Monday, Sept.  30. Work may take place at any time during the day or night.
