The fourth annual event put on by the Downtown Sudbury BIA drew hundreds of Sudburians to Durham Street on Nov. 25

The fourth annual Downtown Sudbury Holiday Market drew hundreds of Sudburians to Durham Street on Nov. 25 for some Christmas fun.

The event featured more than 50 vendors, selling everything from food to apparel and gifts. There were fire stations set up along Durham with hay bales to sit on so folks could stay warm. While the wind could be a bit brisk on Saturday, a bright sun and fun ensured the seven-hour event drew a considerable crowd.

Shops along Durham also welcomed customers with special deals and activities to inject a little holiday spirit into the last weekend of November. The event also featured a brightly decorated holiday train for people to ride, free arts and crafts for the kids and, of course, giant inflatables for the youngsters to bounce on.

“Everything is exciting — it’s hard to know where to start,” said Kyle Marcus, the managing director of the Downtown Sudbury BIA. “It’s incredible to see the families, the children and everybody out in downtown. It’s always a great day in downtown Sudbury, but today especially,”
