“Fund Fair Day” is being held in the lobby of the Northeast Cancer Centre until 2 p.m. You can find merchandise and tickets for various raffles, while gaining awareness about cancer and cancer prevention.

“Today, we have many of our wonderful funds gathered together in one place to keep cancer awareness and prevention at the forefront of peoples’ minds,” says Tannys Laughren, executive director of the Northern Cancer Foundation. “Empowering people to make healthy lifestyle choices and reducing the social and environmental risk factors for cancer are key in the fight agaist cancer.”

World Cancer Day aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action against the disease.
