Watch: Police warn of unsafe ice conditions after two vehicles fall through Whitewater Lake

The best way for everyone to stay safe is to stay off the ice, says Greater Sudbury Police

Greater Sudbury Police Service is reminding the public to stay off the ice.

On March 20, two different vehicles fell through the ice on Whitewater Lake in Azilda. 

"Warmer weather has brought rapidly deteriorating ice conditions," GSPS said in a tweet. "The occupants were able to escape without injury."

"The best way for everyone to stay safe is to stay off the ice."

The owners were responsible for removing their vehicles.
