Throughout the month of October, a number of Sudburians will be accepting the Wheelchair Challenge, which requires riding around in a wheelchair for one day.
The event is being organized by Mercedez Quinlan and the Independant Living Resource Centre. Quinlan said she's inviting anyone to spend some time in a wheelchair, to see what someone who is confined to a chair goes through every day, and help raise both awareness and money for the cause.
Anyone interested in taking the challenge is asked to raise $100 through pledges. For more information or to sign up, phone Quinlan at 675-2121.
