Albert, Jeffrey

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Richard Albert, 27 years old, peacefully at Health Sciences North on Thursday, November 19, 2020 surrounded by family.
Jeffrey was born on October 15, 1993 at McMaster Sick Kids Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.
Beloved son of Norman Albert (Heather Tessier) of Sudbury and his mother Melanie Beach of Hamilton, loving brother of Matthew Albert (Jesse Hodskins) of St Catharines. Nephew to Rachelle Dovigi (Ron), cousin Christine of Hamilton. Nephew to Rolly Albert (Jo-Anne) cousins Jessica, Joshua and Paige of Sudbury. Predeceased by his grandparents Roland and Yvonne Albert. Fondly remembered by Jessica Eles (Zack), Jamie Eles (Tyler) and Jordan Eles. Will be greatly missed by close friend Laura Moonan from Dallas, Texas. Bailey, the family puppy, is missing her favourite buddy.
Jeffrey was happy to be an uncle to Jesse’s 2 boys, Dren and Maxi. When he found out that Matt and Jesse were expecting, he was so excited, he could not wait for the baby to arrive. He will not be here for Ramsay’s arrival but instead he will be his guardian angel.
Jeff had the opportunity to travel the world and he made the most of it. He studied in Spain, Madrid, Taiwan and could speak many languages. His mind was like a sponge and he was highly intelligent. He was a 2nd Degree Black belt and participated in the World Karate Association.
Jeffrey was only 27 years old, but he lived a lifetime. Surviving cancer at 1 month old, he beat all odds, but at a cost. In and out of hospital for the first 12 years of his life, it started the demon that would eventually cost him his life.
We would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor ICU Cardiac Unit, Nurse Kate, Dr. Main and on the 6th floor, Nurse Jen, and Dr. Hamilton for their dedication to Jeff and not giving up on him.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. Donations to the Elgin St. Mission or Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, www.lougheed.org.
