ALEXANDER, Nelda (née Hembruff) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (née Jewell) Hembruff. Wife of the late Samuel David Alexander. Beloved mother of Robert Alexander (Catherine) of Southhampton, William Alexander (Brenda) and Bruce Alexander (Anna Maria) both of Port Elgin Margaret Wendorf of Sudbury and Sharleen Sissons (Steven) of Azilda. Predeceased by her daughter Mary Ruth. Dear sister of Marie Ebel (late George) of McKerrow. Predeceased by her brothers Eric (late Janet), Joseph, Clive (Betty of Garson) and Lawrence (Dorothy of Sudbury). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Tara, Meghan, Emily, Jenna, Elizabeth, Leigha, Dane, Samantha, Rebecca, Adam, Stephanie and Andrew. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Nelda pursed her nursing career having been a nurse for 17 years at the General Hospital, Sudbury. She will also be remembered for her dedication as a member of the Marymount School of Nursing Alumni, the Rebekah Lodge, number 223 and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 76. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday from 2- 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 28, 2011 at (time to be confirmed) in St. Stephens on the Hill Church, 1248 Lauzon Avenue, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Sudbury Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit would be greatly appreciated.
