Dr. Claudette Allard

Died peacefully in Sudbury on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 80 years. 

Predeceased by her father Alphonse Allard, her mother Rachel (née Gravel) and her younger sister Dr. Denise Allard. 

Claudette leaves behind her niece Sara Regimbal (Chad) and her grandnephews William and Evan, as well as numerous cousins. 

She was close to her aunt Sr. Thérèse Allard, and her cousin Joanne Allard.   Born in Hamilton, Claudette was raised in Haileybury, then moved to Alfred and then Ottawa.  She worked for a time for Northern Affairs in the remote North of Canada.  She earned her PhD and was professor of Psychology at l’Université Laurentienne in Sudbury.  After retirement, Claudette devoted volunteer time and found solace as a community clinical psychologist.  Claudette was ever full of stories and had tales to tell.  She was a voracious reader, was talented in oil painting, violin, piano, and loved to knit.

Her passion was stained glass art, creating many stunning pieces.
