ANDREWS, Lenard - (June 19, 1927- October 15, 2010) - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Friday October 15, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Born in Espanola, Len worked as a moulder at the Inco Copper Refinery for 36 years. He enjoyed many years as an avid bowler and spent many summers travelling across North America and camping at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. Len was famous for his February facial tan from spending many hours sitting on his front porch doing crossword puzzles. He was a volunteer for 20 years at the Sudbury General Hospital and was very outgoing and friendly to everyone. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, Council 6074, Sudbury. Son of the late Albert and Angelina (née Massicotte). Beloved husband of 62 years to Rita Andrews (née Carrey). Loving father of Brian of Scarborough and Sharon Rotundo (Frank) of Bradford. Predeceased by his son Mark in 1999 and infant daughters Sheryl, Laurie and Mary. Sadly missed by his granddaughters Natalie Lamarche (Allan) of Sudbury, Heidi Charbonneau (Yvan) of Hamilton, Tasha Cull of Toronto and his great-grandchildren Josée, Mélanie, Céline and Eric. Dear brother of Theresa Bourcier (late Raymond) of Espanola and Viola Lanthier (Bill) of Massey. Predeceased by his brothers Albert (Loretta of Hamilton), Clifford (late Phyllis), Orville (Yvonne of Massey), Noël and sisters Jean Rainey (late George), Eileen Geall (late Charles) and Bernice Larocque (late Bruno). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday, October 22nd, 2010 from 2 to 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. and Saturday after 9:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
