ANNIS, Gordon James - In Loving Memory of Gordon James Annis, 71 years, Monday, March 5th, 2012 at St. Joseph's Villa, Sudbury. After a valiant 10 year battle with Alzheimer's, Gordon left us much too early, leaving behind a loving circle of family and friends. He was an avid traveler and along with Karen and the family explored the four corners of the world. Their travels included five years living in New Caledonia, working for INCO Chromical. Gordon was an active Kiwanian, having recently received the Legion of Honour award from Kiwanis International for 50 years of service. Over the years, he served in many capacities including Distinguished Lieutenant Governor of Excellence for Division 2, Eastern Canada and the Caribbean District and as Distinguished President of the Kiwanis Club of Sudbury. He particularly enjoyed working with Circle K, the university student level of Kiwanis. Gordon enjoyed his work with the Kiwanis Music Festival, including his time as Chair. He was also a proud supporter of local Special Olympics events. Beloved husband of Karen (Garland) Annis. Loving father of Leslie Ann (Eric Fournier) and Bradley James Annis. Cherished Giddy to Audrey Ann and Xavier James. Dear son of Elmer and Peggy Annis predeceased. Loving brother of Susan (Robert Carmichael). Special uncle to Lori and Steven (Amber).
