In Loving Memory of Antonio (Tony) Anselmo

Funny, passionate, warm, iconic, mischievous, and outspoken - these are only some of the words used to describe Tony Anselmo, but to us, he was also just our dad.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tony Anselmo on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

As the owner of Records on Wheels for almost 40 years, Tony was a fixture in Downtown Sudbury. Beyond selling records, he created a warm and welcoming space where people could connect over coffee, share stories, and discover their love for music.

Tony is predeceased by his loving wife Debi and is survived by his children Chas (Hope), Natalie (Alex), and Angie (Mike), his three granddaughters - Lillian, Violet, and Emelia - who brought immense joy to his later years, and his sister Lina, who remained a constant source of love and support throughout his life.

We are especially grateful to the exceptional staff at HSN who provided care during Tony's challenging times, showing remarkable support for him and our family.

Tony was not only known for his larger-than-life personality but also for his deep-rooted commitment to supporting the downtown Sudbury community. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the Blue Door Soup Kitchen.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 23rd from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Caruso Club, 385 Haig Street.
