ARONEC, William Walter (Bill) - It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Aronec announce his passing on September 20th, 2010, at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Memorial Site. Son of Anna (Demchuk) and Alec Aronec both predeceased. Husband and best friend of Shirley (Johnston) predeceased 1999. Beloved father of William (Bill) Aronec (wife Catherine Snedden) of Kanata, Ontario and Susan de la Riva (husband Charles) of Sudbury. Loving Grandpa to Alexander Aronec and Special “Apapa“ to Charles, Philippe and Robert. Bill is predeceased by siblings Wilma, George, Fanny, Russell and Pauline. Lovingly remembered by sister Rose of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Good friend to Marguerite St. Georges. Born in Mink Creek, Manitoba, Bill worked in lumber and pulp camps, and farms throughout western Canada. He moved east and joined INCO in 1947 working in the Field Exploration Department. Later, Bill worked as a Senior Draftsman and then went into Administration. Bill earned his AACI through the Appraisal Institute of Canada and had his own appraisal firm after retiring from INCO in 1982. Bill lived a life in full participation, with family, friends and acquaintances. He loved the outdoors and his cottage at Long Lake with his young family and later golfing, playing cards, travelling and creating wonderful memories for his grandchildren. Bill was a long standing member of the Sudbury Lodge A.F. and A.M. Bill""s legacy of life and living it well and full continues in the memories of those who he loved. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Monday, September 27th at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday).
