ATAMANIUK, Leila Jean - In Loving Memory of Leila Jean Atamaniuk 63 years. The family announces with sorrow the sudden passing of Leila Jean Atamaniuk (1947-2011) at home on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Paul, daughters Crystal Noel and Tracy Moggy (Steven), and her grandchildren Landon and Taylor Noel, Lauren, Brianna and Jack Moggy. She was the daughter of Carl and Vivian Baxter (Abbott) both predeceased, sister of Vinn Baxter of Val Caron (predeceased), Leeanne Baxter of Little Current, and Lindsay Baxter of Cambridge. She is also sadly missed by her aunt, nieces and nephews, her many cousins, neighbors and friends. Leila Jean was born in Little Current and raised in Sheguiandah on Manitoulin Island. After living a few years in Manitouwadge, Leila Jean and her husband moved to the Sudbury area to raise their family in 1965. She worked for many years at Sears in New Sudbury. Leila Jean was devoted to her family and their activities. Her daughters and grandchildren were the center of her life, and she could often be found in the local hockey rinks, school gymnasiums and dance studios, watching and cheering loudly for her grandchildren. Friends, neighbors, and family will miss her outgoing nature, zest for life, and willingness to help everyone at a moments notice. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St, Sudbury. Memorial Service in the R.J Barnard Chapel, Tuesday March 1st 2011 at 11:30am. Cremation.
