AUCOIN, Wayne Thomas - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Thomas Aucoin, born February 5th, 1946 in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Sole son of Cornelius (Corny) Aucoin, predeceased in 1982 and Mary Agnes MacDonald predeceased in 2009. Loving husband of 39 years to Madeleine (nee Lalonde) of Timmins, ON. Father and friend to Jason and his wife, Amy Falbo from Sudbury, Nadine and her husband, Keith Macey and devoted Poppa to his buddy Owen and princess Ashlyn Macey of Barrie, ON. He leaves behind his sister-in- law, Paulette Longpre, brothers-in-law, Ronald & Robert Lalonde and loving nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his in-laws, Marie Lalonde, 1989 and Aristide Lalonde, 2009. Wayne was well known and respected throughout Ontario, as a Woolworth's Manager, Woolco and was District Manager of Northern Ontario with Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Tillsonburg Golf Club (The Bridges) and Curling Club. He also was a member of Cedar Greens and Timberwolf Golf Club and the Idylwylde Curling Club of Sudbury, ON. His friends are many! The family will receive family and friends at OSTRANDER'S FUNERAL HOME 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg, on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Liturgical service for Wayne will be held at Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. At the family's request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to VON Sakura House, Woodstock or Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Palliative Care.
