Shawn Baker, age 49, passed away peacefully at his residence in Garson, on December 29, 2023 after a brief but heroic battle with cancer.
Shawn is predeceased by both parents, Jeanette Paradise and Bill Baker. Shawn was a loving son, father, cousin, and friend, and he will be missed immensely by his family and friends. While family is not always defined by blood, Shawn’s close circle of friends; Sean, Cory, Bruce, Trever, and Brock deserve special recognition for their friendship with Shawn, and they will miss him deeply.
Although life wasn't always easy for Shawn, he pursued every challenge that came his way and faced it head-on. Shawn was known for his tough demeanour, but those who truly knew him, knew that his loyalty and love for his friends and family was immense and unconditional. He would do anything for the ones he cared about. Shawn is now resting in peace with his mother.
With respect for Shawn's wishes, there will be no funeral service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
