In loving memory of Sylvia Barbeau that passed away on February 27th, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Rene Barbeau (predeceased). Loving mother of Gary of Lively and Ricky (wife Karen) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother to Daina, Coel, Leeanne, Troy and Kurtis. Dear daughter of the late Domitri and Rariti Dumencu of Creighton, ON and loving sister of the late George, Valerie, Pete, Donnie, Eleana, Zita and Bill. She will be lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren, her extended family and many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was born and raised in Creighton, married in 1951 and a resident of Lively until moving to Pioneer Manor in 2019. She took great pride in her home and was always open to a lengthy phone conversation with her family and friends. She was a great cook, and ready to feed any visitor to her home. Her family will always remember the gatherings at her home with their favorite meals prepared by her with love.
The family would like to thank the nurses and personal care workers at Pioneer Manor that cared for Sylvia over the last few years. Her final resting place will be with her husband at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Lively. May she rest in peace knowing she will forever be in our hearts.
