BARROW, SHANE - In Loving Memory of Shane Patrick Barrow, 65 years. Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North following a lengthy illness with special friends at his side. Beloved son of Roy and Patricia Barrow both predeceased. Loving brother of Michael of Mississauga. Special friend of Kimberley Saari. Dear nephew of Jessimae Sheehan, Mike and Linda Sheehan all of Sault Ste Marie, Gwen Godfrey of Kelowna, B.C., Norm Fiset of Elk Lake and Heather Sheehan of Orangeville. Shane was raised in Blind River and as he matured, he enjoyed the adventure of living and working in different towns and cities. However, it was in Sudbury that Shane finally found his true milieu. A man of many talents he quickly became part of a diverse group of colleagues and friends, some regarded as his Sudbury family. Shane, a well-read, well spoken gentleman, was blessed with the gift of Irish story-telling. He enthralled everyone, from the Cedar Street Gang to his Sudbury family with his delightful and insightful conversation and tales told with a twinkle in his blue eyes. Shane loved nature and the outdoors and his natural green thumb is evident in the many lovely landscapes and gardens of family and friends, which he helped to create and maintain. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Friday, February 15th, 2013 at 6 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Interment in the family plot in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date. Donations to the NCF-Cancer Center would be appreciated. (Friends may call after 4pm Friday).
