Dec 26, 1953 - June 4, 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of the greatest husband, father, nonno, brother, and uncle in the world

Chris will be forever missed by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Patti; his children Jimmy (Tania) and Michael (Samantha). He will also be watching over his adoring grandchildren, Jacob, Max, Aria, and Mila.

Chris was the youngest son of Nando and Mary Bartolucci (predeceased). Loving brother to Diane (predeceased) (Gordon Jacques), Rick (Maureen), Liz (Garry Spry). Dear brother-in-law to Mike (Lynne), Tim (Mary) and Jeff (predeceased). Only son-in-law to Ernie (predeceased) and Dolores Mallette. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and those who were proud to call him Dad #2.

Chris has touched many lives as a teacher and coach at St Charles College and was a pillar of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge. His decades of dedication to his community led to him being a founding member of the Joe MacDonald Youth Football League - a league that proudly continues to this day. Off the pitch, Chris enjoyed golfing with his regular foursome, his Men’s Night and Pensioner days, all at Lively Golf and Country Club. He was often caught spinning wild tales of long drives, great approaches and clutch putts - all over a plate of fries and jug of draft.

When Patti first met Chris, the furthest he had travelled was Sault Ste Marie. It soon became apparent that travel was going to be a big part of his life. Ski trips, tropical vacations, family trips to Myrtle Beach, cruises and, seeing Canada coast to coast. Chris recently celebrated his 65th birthday in Switzerland and Northern Italy. Each one, a treasured memory. His last wish was to plan a trip to Tuscany - we’ll take you there one day…

The family would like to thank the many friends and neighbours who have been part of Chris’ journey with cancer. Stacked up against unbeatable odds, he persevered because of the care, support and encouragement of Dr. Pearce and Dr. Linford and the radiation team Suite 3 at the Cancer Treatment Centre of HSN. You are all special angels!

Part of our family of caregivers have been the Bayshore team; nurse Fatima, and PSW Justin who always treated Chris with ongoing care and compassion - Thank you both. Another special thank you goes out to the palliative care team who treated Chris with the utmost dignity and respect, allowing him the beat cancer on his terms.

Friends may gather from 2pm-9pm on Thursday, June 9th at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St, Sudbury with prayers at 3pm. Mass of Christian burial to be held at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd at 10:30am, Friday June 10th, 2022.

Donations can be made in Chris’ memory to the Joe MacDonald Youth Football League’s Legacy Fund or the Northern Cancer Foundation.
