BASARABA, Ewhenia (Genia) (née Zastawny) - In Loving Memory of Ewhenia “Genia“ Basaraba (née Zastawny), 52 years. Peacefully, Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Russ Basaraba. Loving mother of Matt Basaraba. Cherished daughter of Jaroslaw and Sonia Zastawny. Loving sister of Roman Zastawny (wife Patricia). Special daughter in law of Morris and Elvi Basaraba predeceased. Dear sister in law of Cathy Pearce (husband Brian). Dear aunt of Jeremy and Peter Zastawny and Dean, Jessica and Marissa Pearce. Born and raised in Toronto, Genia graduated from the University of Toronto. She married Russ Basaraba in Toronto in 1987. They moved to Sudbury in 1988. She had been a telemarketer for 7 years. Genia was a devoted and loving wife and mother. A dedicated homemaker, she was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced beautiful flowers. She enjoyed camping at Windy Lake, barbecues at her house and chatting with new friends on Facebook. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Friday, March 4th, 2011 at 11:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
