BASTIEN, Georgette - The family announces her death, in Val Caron, after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the age of 81 years, Daughter of the late Leonard and of the late Delisca (née Gauthier) Bastien. Wife of the late Irenée Bastien. Loving mother of Irène Beausoleil (Florian) of Chelmsford, Michel Bastien of Tehkummah, Pauline Pinkos (Lee), Jules Bastien (Suzanne) and Laurent Bastien (Julie) all of Dowling, Lise Beaulieu (Rodger Spears) of Val Caron and Lorraine Linton (Roby) of Espanola. Also survived by her son-in-law, Richard Beaulieu of Hanmer. Predeceased by her daughter Denise. Dear sister of Omer Bastien, Françoise Constantineau (François), Juliette Saumier (Pierre) and Richard Bastien (Diane) all of Val-des-Bois and Bernard Bastien of Gatineau. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers Aurel (late Carmen), Yvette McGrath (late Edouard), Ludovic, Clifford (late Emiliose), Aline Matte (late Emile), William, Hervé and Raymond. Sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. The focus of Georgette""s life was her dear family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered having been an excellent cook making sure everyone was well fed. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting for her precious ones. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R R 15, CHELMSFORD, Friday evening from 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. Stephen""s/St-Etienne""s Church, Dowling.
