BELCHER, Frances May - In Loving Memory of Frances May Belcher (nee Knight), 75 years, Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Health Sciences North gone to join her Lord Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Family. Beloved wife of Charles Belcher. Loving mother of Curtis (wife Shelley) and Blake (wife Charlett). Cherished grandmother of Jordan, Jacob, Nicholas, Alexander, Daniel and Brooklynn. Dear daughter of William and Dorothy (Blake) Knight both predeceased. Dear sister of Hazel Leonard predeceased (husband Jerry). Born and raised in Cochrane, she completed her schooling in Ottawa. She graduated from Teacher's College in North Bay moving to the Sudbury area in 1967. She married Charles Belcher in Levack in 1968. Originally she was a teacher at Larchwood Public School and then went to work for Falconbridge Ltd. She had been a member of the Larchwood United Church and she had been an active member of the Onaping Falls Lion's Club having been treasurer for many years and Onaping Falls Golden Age Club having served as president for several years. A snowbird she enjoyed warm weather and golfing in Florida. Fran will be remembered as a determined person who expressed her opinions with passion and conviction. She was devoted to her family especially her grandchildren. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Visitation at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Friends may call 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. Monday with Lion's Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral Service in Larchwood United Church, Dowling, Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at 1 p.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Maplecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Onaping Lion's Club or the Larchwood United Church would be appreciated.
