BENE, Elsie (née Labre) - The family announces with sorrow, her death at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the age of 95 years. Daughter of the late Jules and of the late Alexina Labre (née Dion). Wife of the late George Bene Sr. (May-1985). Beloved mother of George Jr. (Laura), Anne Marie Villeneuve, Victor (Jocelyne), Suzanne Gravel (Gerard), Kathleen Bene, Michael and Joseph André (Linda). Predeceased by her son Joe (Yvonne) and her daughter Marion Rose. Dear sister of Henry Labre (Claudette). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends. Although too many to mention, the family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at Pioneer Manor, especially Tulip Wing for making Elsie's stay there pleasant, comfortable and special. This was the place she called “home“. The family will receive relatives and friends the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday, May 6th, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Pioneer Manor Forever Caring Tree would be greatly appreciated.
