BERNARD, Rhéal - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Monday, December 26, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Son of the late Joseph and the late Florida (née Marleau) Bernard. Husband of the late Lucille Bernard (née Forget). Beloved father of Gilles Bernard (Lorraine) of Wahnapitae, Rachelle St. Jacques (Kenneth Warmington) of Winnipeg, Colette Mayers (John) of Barbados, Lorraine Gotkiewicz (Peter) of Sudbury, Ginette Bernard (Mike Gervais) of Wanup, Yvon Bernard (Doris Casano) of Langley, B.C., Line Dupuis (Gilles) of Alban, Réjeanne Gauthier (Ron Laughran) of Abbotsford, B.C. and Linda Blais (Richard) of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his son Normand. Dear brother of Lionel Bernard. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Laureat, Irené, Solange Lavigne, Germaine Archambeau, Marie-Jeanne Bison, Juliette Bison, Lucienne Yelle, Alexina Faubert, Simone Quevillon and Marielle Bernard. Cherished grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
