BERTHIAUME, Jean “Johnny“ - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Monday, March 18th, 2013 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Dérimaine Berthiaume (née Carrière) of Chelmsford, married for 58 years. Son of the late Émile and the late Maria Berthiaume (née Bérard). Loving father of André (Linda), Yvan (Monique), Nicole Catojo (Tony), Robert (Manon) all of Chelmsford, as well as Denise Goudreault (Michel) of Ottawa and Carole Gagnon (Marc) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his son Jean-Guy, his sisters Georgine Bourassa, Jeannette Vincent and his brothers George-Émile, Phillipe, Hervé, Roger, Léonard, Armand and Honoré. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Lisa (Rheal), Joël (Sylvie), Chantal, Natalie (Yves), Eric, Brigitte, Mireille, Angelo, Mélanie, Dominique, Véronique, Patrick, Danica, Alex and by his great-grandchildren Noah, Emma, Luca, Matéo, Andrée-Anne and Mathieu. Predeceased by his granddaughter Isabelle. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Johnny was a very well regarded business entrepreneur. He will be remembered for being a hard worker, especially on his beef farm, which was his number one hobby. He was a faithful parishioner as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus of Chelmsford. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, in Chelmsford on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants André (Linda), Yvan (Monique), Nicole Catojo (Tony), Robert (Manon) tous de Chelmsford, ainsi que Denise Goudreault (Michel) d'Ottawa et Carole Gagnon (Marc) de Sturgeon Falls. Prédécédé par son fils Jean-Guy, ses soeurs Georgine Bourassa, Jeannette Vincent et ses frères George- Émile, Phillipe, Hervé, Roger, Léonard, Armand et Honoré. Il sera également manqué par ses petits-enfants Lisa (Rheal), Joël (Sylvie), Chantal, Natalie (Yves), Eric, Brigitte, Mireille, Angelo, Mélanie, Dominique, Véronique, Patrick, Danica, Alex ainsi que par ses arrières petits-enfants Noah, Emma, Luca, Matéo, Andrée-Anne et Mathieu. Prédécédé par sa petite-fille Isabelle. Il laisse également plusieurs beaux- frères, belles-soeurs, neveux, nieces et ami(e)s. Johnny était un entrepreneur très reconnu de la région. Son passe-temps préferé était de travailler sur sa ferme. Il était un paroissien fidèle, ainsi qu'un membre des Chevaliers de Colomb de Chelmsford. Il sera exposé ce vendredi à compter de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 21h30 à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE de CHELMSFORD, 4691 R.R. 15. Une messe funéraire sera célébrée le samedi 23 mars 2013 à 11h à la Paroisse St-Joseph, de Chelmsford.
