BERTRAND, Wayne “Blacky“ - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Monday, April 8th, 2013 at the age of 64 years. Loving husband of Hélène Bertrand (née Romain) of Chelmsford. Dear father of Chantal Bertrand (Mike) of New Brunswick, Yves Bertrand and Dwayne Bertrand (Rachelle) both of Timmins, Yvon Bertrand of St-Catherine and his step- children Robert Nault and Joanne Servant (Dale) both of Timmins, Suzanne Nault of North Bay and Lynne Feldman (Al) of Toronto. Dear brother of Jacqueline Champagne (Aimé) of Timmins, son-in-law of René Romain and predeceased by his mother-in-law Thérèse Romain. Also brother-in-law of Réjeanne Duval (Gaston), Pierrette Beaudry (Constant), Roch Romain (Nicole), Madeleine Romain (feu Don), Marie Brunet (Léonard), Raymond Romain (Louise), Jacques Romain (Michelle) and Suzanne Roy (Michel). Predeceased by his brother-in-law Gaëtan Romain. Sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren and 2 very special great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, family and many friends. The family wishes to thank the nurses on the 7th floor at Health Sciences North for their kind and compassionate care. At Wayne's request, there will be no visitation and no service. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
