BILSBOROUGH, Jean Veronica - In loving memory of Jean Veronica Bilsborough (nee Plexman), 106 years, on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 at Finlandia Koti. Beloved wife of Harry Bilsborough predeceased. Loving mother of Henry “Bud“ (wife Marlene) and Ollie Supple. Cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Emma Calder of Calgary and predeceased by Henry, Fred, August, Alois, William, Anthony, Elsa and Edward. Jean grew up in Sellwood and Capreol with her 9 brothers and sisters. She was educated in Sellwood, Capreol and St. Joseph's College in Lindsay, ON. Jean returned to Capreol to open an ice cream parlour. She married Harry Bilsborough; they lived in Capreol, Pembroke, Noranda, Kirkland Lake and Timmins. In 1943 they purchased Capreol's Audion Theatre which was also the home of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and Trinity United Church for various reasons, and in 1951 they built the Garson Theatre. Jean enjoyed working in her community and was instrumental in forming the Senior Citizen Club 240 in 1967, the Canadian Cancer Society Capreol branch and was a founding member of the Capreol Council of the daughters of Isabelle serving as First Regent. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., at Hwy 69 N, Hanmer on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 At 10 AM Interment in the Capreol Cemetery. Memorial donations to Finlandia Koti would be appreciated by the family.
