BINNERSLEY, John

October 10, 2012 56

BINNERSLEY, John Joseph - June 2, 1956 - October 4, 2012 - The family announces with sorrow the death of John Joseph Binnersley, dear son of Reginald and Kathryn Binnersley (predeceased) and beloved brother of Gwen Gagnon (predeceased) of Garson, Pat Binnersley of Naughton, Allan Binnersley (predeceased) and his wife Lynda of Skead, and Terry Binnersley of Ottawa. John will also be missed by his nieces, Lianne Gagnon of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Kathryn Binnersley of Toronto as well as his nephew David Gagnon of Salmon Arm, BC. All who knew John as genial, open-hearted, funny and wild can imagine that he would have appreciated his sudden passing; he would not have dealt well with being sick for a long period of time. He went quickly, as he would have chosen. Thank you to friends who have reached out to us to remind us of the good work John did and the thoughtfulness he showed them and to share an instance of his wry sense of humour. In fact, John would be the first one to have a good cry, and then organize some kind of get-together to tell tales, sing songs, laugh, cry, and rage at life's unfairness. “The voice of the singer is hushed; the anecdote unfinished; the smile is vanished; the words of welcome have turned to ashes upon the lips.“ Rest in peace, dear brother, uncle, friend. To those of you who showed many kindnesses to John over the past few years, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. A memorial for family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate John's life. Messages of condolence may be sent to[email protected]. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME. To light a memorial candle, flowers, donations or messages of condolences available on-line at www.lougheed.org
