BLACKWELL, Verna - In Loving Memory of Verna Blackwell (nee Moore), 89 years. Her children announce with sorrow of her passing on Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at the Espanola Nursing Home, Verna has gone to join her love Bill Blackwell predeceased 1999. She was born in Saint John, New Brunswick February 23rd, 1923 to the late Percy and Saidie Moore. During WWII she met Bill while they were both serving in the R.C.A.F. Verna and Bill were married after the war in June 1945. They returned to Creighton Mine where Bill worked for Inco and raised their 4 children. She will be missed by her children Donna Linville (Ron) of Naughton, Bill (Rosemary) of Port Elgin, Gail Frappier (Roly) of Espanola and David (Michelle) of Mission, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Marc Zechel), Tammy (Simon McIntyre), Lisa (Damian Spaulding), Jeffrey, Amber, Patrick (Amanda), Holly (Gil Landau), Kristen and Catherine and blessed by her great grandchildren Gillian, Rachel, Justin, Logan, Matthew, Jayden, David, Nathan, Chelsea, Ashlynn, Ciara and Brandon. Predeceased by her sisters Marjorie Mabey and Audrie Dreyer and brother Robert Moore. Verna was a proud member of the Royal Purple Lodge for 60 years. Memorial Visitation Will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury Verna's life will be celebrated at Trinity United Church, Lively Monday, June 25th, 2012 at 11am Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment of ashes in the Water's Cemetery (Friends may call from 4- 8pm Sunday at the funeral home and after 10:30am Monday and at the church).
