BLANCHARD, Ronald Francis - Suddenly at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Ronald Francis Blanchard of Dorchester (and formerly of Sudbury) in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Sherland (Mathe) Blanchard. Dear father of Darren and his wife Laura McKinnon of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Jason and his wife Gigi of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Isaac and Sydney and unborn baby Blanchard. Survived by his mother, Rita Blanchard and his father Francis Blanchard (predeceased). Also survived by his sister Betty Vinet and her husband Richard of Cornwall. Loved and missed by Wayne and Lynee Mathe, Karen and Rick Landry, Debbie and John Saik as well as by his nieces and nephews, Roger, Angela, Michelle, Christine, Neil, Ashley, Melissa and Kyle and by very good friends Dennis Muncaster and Phil Rowe. Blanch (aka Ronnie, Slick) loved baseball (Yankees), music (country, specifically Big Tobacco and the Pickers) reading, family, his K9 kids Cassius and Cody (predeceased). Ron was an avid golfer and left us doing what he loved best on the 17th green of the Dorchester Golf Course. Friends will be received at the BIEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester (Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.) where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
