BODE, Hannelore. In loving memory of Hannelore Bode who went to be with the Lord as a result of a car accident in Toronto, on Tuesday, July 13th, 2010, in her 65th year. Hannelore was born in Germany, December 29th, 1944 and came with her family to Sudbury in 1954, where she resided until 2008. At that time she moved to Uxbridge to be with her mother. Hannelore was predeceased by her father, Fritz Bode (1944), and step-fathers Hermann Klitscher (1990) and Norman Fockler (2007) and by her mother Johanna Fockler (2009) and by her siblings, Ewald Bode (1999) and Ruth Peckham (1996). Loving sister-in-law of Anne Bode, aunt to Melanie (Kent Monro), Corinne (Gord Tranter), Renee Peckham and Sarah (Ryan Smith) and beloved great “Aunt Nini“ to Daphne, Julia and Hanna. Beloved niece of Martha and Gunther Sikora of Sudbury, stepsister of Ian Fockler (Mary), Floyd Fockler (Susan) and Arlene (Roger Tyler). Hannelore will be sorely missed by her extended family as well. Hannelore was a faithful and active member of Berean Baptist Church in Sudbury for many years. She sang in the choir, worked with children and helped at worship services at Pioneer Manor and Lasalle Residence. Hannelore was a dedicated nurse in local hospitals and the CNIB. In her retirement, she volunteered at the Elgin Street Mission and had a blood pressure clinic where she made many new friends. Hannelore""s experience with her own personal losses helped her to be a compassionate friend to numerous others in Sudbury, When she moved to Uxbridge, Hannelore worked with enthusiasm in the ministries of the Vivian Baptist Church. A funeral service was held in Uxbridge Baptist Church on Monday, July 19th, where many family members and friends rejoiced in her life and example of Christian grace. She will certainly be missed, but she is in her eternal home, praising the Lord with a harmony and joy such as can be heard only in heaven. Proverbs 3:5 & 6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and He shall direct thy paths.“
