In Loving Memory of Thérèse Boivin (nee Gaudette) 92 years Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at Pioneer Manor Thérèse was a loving mother to 14 children and grandmother to 44 grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She was the devoted wife of over 40 wonderful years to François Boivin (predeceased 1985). Loving mother of Jeanne Laurin (Jerry predeceased), Phil (Simone), Jean-Paul (Alice), Denise Boivin (friend Marthe), Lorraine Olsen, Rhéal, Claudette Joyal (Serge), Ron (Janet), Carmen Van Druenen (John), Pauline Elsasser and Nicole Rienguette. Predeceased by her daughter Rhéa Bellerose & sons Richard and André. Survived by her daughter-in-laws Gail, Carmen and Delina & son-in-law Jean-Louis (Marilyn). Cherished Mémère of many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Florida Gaudette (nee Tessier), her siblings and their spouses Evangeline (Edgar), Simone (George), Armand, Desanges (Lucien), Cecile (Norman), David (Rachelle), Aline (Aderlard), Ida (Jean), Laurier, René (Lorraine) and Léandre (Therese), sister-in-law Annette & brother-in-law Jean Guy. Survived by her sisters Carmen, Beatrice, Claudette (Marcel), brothers Marcel and Gilbert (Raymonde), sister-in-law Hélène & many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thérèse enjoyed playing bingo, darts, baseball and working in the canteen at the Markstay arena with her very good friend Marian. She loved the celebration of Christmas, making it magical for her family when returning home from midnight mass with dad. Christmas without mom won’t be the same. She was very proud to be the matriarch of her 5th generation family. The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Manor for their excellent care and compassion. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent Street at Hazel Street) Friday from 2-5 & 7-9pm Funeral Mass at St. Marc’s Catholic Church - Markstay on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment alongside her husband in St. Marc’s Cemetery – Markstay In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
