BONGERS, Emma - In loving memory Of Emma (née Pilon) Bongers. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Emma Bongers at the Sudbury Regional Hospital after a brief illness in her 82nd year. Survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerry; her children, John (Donna) of Niagara Falls, Gerry of Markstay, Rick of Cambridge and Angel (Mark) of Markstay. Survived by her grandchildren Gerry, John, Tia, Shadoe, Amanda, Kristen, Eric, Colin, Jessica and Jenna and her precious great- granddaughter Nya. Survived by her siblings Jimmy, Irene, Justine, George, Aline, Emilia, Victoria, Hilda and Richard. Predeceased by Theresa, Jacqueline, Phillip, Ronny, Robert, and her parents Oliva and Edna Pilon. Emma was employed for many years with Empire Cab and Queen's Taxi until her retirement in 1989. She spent her later years being a wonderful Oma to her beloved grandchildren. She was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Special thanks to the Cardiology Department of the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 at 10am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
