BONISH, Evelyn Irene (nee Gibson) - In Loving Memory of Evelyn Irene Bonish (nee Gibson) who passed away on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at the Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved wife and best friend of 63 years to Peter Robert Bonish. Loving mother of Dan (wife Sue), Doug and Tim (wife Wendy). Cherished Grandma of Peter Aaron, Benjamin (wife Brigitte), Jason (wife Nicole), Sarah and Jessica, great Grandmother of Mylaine and Isabelle. Dear daughter of Irene Gibson and Ronald Gibson both predeceased. Dear sister of Donald (Hazel) predeceased, Doreen (Richard) both predeceased and Joan (Bob). Evelyn left her home in Cupar, Saskatchewan in August of 1948, moving to Sudbury to marry Peter at St. Paul's United Church. Evelyn loved music, growing flowers, writing letters and keeping many journals. She had such a green thumb; her flowers looked like they were plastic. She enjoyed spending much of her time at their camp on Trout Lake. Evelyn was a life long blood donor and canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society. After her children had finished high school, Evelyn worked side by side with Peter in their family business, Pete's Rentall Limited. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. Private Family Memorial Service at St. Paul's United Church 131 Regent St., Sudbury, Wednesday, May 9th, 2012. Cremation with interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery. No public visitation.
