BORDIGNON, Ferruccio “Frank“ Giuseppe - In loving memory of Ferruccio “Frank“ Giuseppe Bordignon 79 years Peacefully, Monday morning, December 24th, 2012 at his residence in Val Caron, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of devoted wife Maria (nee Zanchetta) Bordignon of Val Caron for 44 years. Loving father of Stephen of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Marika (husband Gil Alves) of Ballinafad, Ontario. Proud Nonno of Aliyana who was the sparkle in his eye. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Antonia (nee Cenil) Bordignon. Dear brother of Rev. Fr. Giovanni Bordignon, Camillo (wife Mirella), Assunta (husband Giovachino Bortignon) all of Italy. He is predeceased by his brothers Angelo, Luigi, Tarcisio (wife Anna), Irene (husband Silvano Pegoraro), and Cecilia (husband Hectore Beltramello). Ferruccio was born in Rossano Veneto, Vicenza, Italy on March 13, 1933. Upon first arriving in Canada in 1956, he worked across the country with CN Rail, and as a lumberjack. He married Maria in Sudbury in 1968. He worked at INCO Ltd. for 25 years retiring in 1991. Formerly a member of Amico degli Alpini and Associazione Veneta, he was a devoted parishioner of St Kevin's church. An avid woodworker, he created numerous wood carvings and articles for his many friends, family and various charities.He loved the outdoors, and loved activities like gardening, blueberry and mushroom picking, and bicycling. He was always known to invite anyone over for a glass of wine and a laugh. Ferruccio will be sadly missed, and will always be remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic and devotion to his friends and family. He will be missed by many brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Kevin's Church, 4610 Ste Therese St., Val Therese Saturday, December 29th, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment at the Valley East Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr and Mrs. McAllister, Nurse Aline, CCAC Case Manager Nathalie and PSW Rosemary. With their expert care and compassion, along with the devotion of his wife Maria, Ferruccio was able to remain in his beloved home of 42 years. Donations in memory of Ferruccio to the ALS Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Friends may call on Friday December 28th from 2-7pm.
