In Loving Memory of Maria (nee Novacic) Boric, 90 years. Peacefully, Friday, July 14, 2023, at her residence.
Loving mother of John Boric (Vicki), Stipo Oreskovic (Soile Ekoluoma) and Lori Freedman (Doug). Cherished Baba to Tavis (Jannia), Josh and Vanessa. Dear daughter of Antun and Lucija Novacic, both predeceased. Dear sister of Ivan, Milan, Stipe, Marko and Nikola, all predeceased. Sadly missed by her extended family in Canada and Croatia.
Maria was born in Lika, Croatia. She immigrated to Canada in 1963 where she worked hard and built a life for herself in Sudbury. A devout Roman Catholic, she attended Sveti Marko Croatian Catholic Church. She loved to cook and prepare food for many, cultivating her vegetable gardens and spending time with her many friends. Maria was very loving and kind and her family meant the world to her. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
Memorial service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:30am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Cemetery. Friends may call after 10am on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
