BOROVICH, Irene - In Loving Memory of Irene Borovich (nee Macko) 1929 – 2012. Mom left us on July 22nd, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was mom to Marica (Curtiss) Law, Baba to Tarragh (Emyr) Carr and Tahylor Law and great grandma to Wyatt and Georgia Irene Carr. Predeceased by her brother Michael and sister Emma, she was “Auntie“ to the Macko, Pristanski, Tucar and Borkovich families. Mom started her working career as a RN at St. Joseph's Hospital, Sudbury, and took over the family business (International Hotel) after the death of her husband Adam Borovich February 24th, 1988. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mom to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1331 - 29 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 4N2, (403)521-3233 or albertacancer.ca. As to Mom's wishes, there will be no service, but a graveside committal in Sudbury, Ontario on October 29th, 2012 at 2PM. where she will be laid to rest beside Dad at the Parklawn cemetery, 379 Horobin St. Light refreshments will be served after the service in the Fellowship room at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. To light a memorial candle, flowers, donations or messages of condolences available on-line at www.lougheed.org
