BOYD, Alan Bruce - In loving memory of Alan Bruce Boyd, 56 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family with a long courageous battle of cancer on Monday, April 2nd, 2012 at the Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved son of Burt Boyd (predeceased) and Clara Boyd (nee Robicheau). Loving father of Bruce (predeceased), Christopher and Jamie (friend Sheree) both of Sudbury. Dear friend of Jeannette Joly (mother of his children). Dear brother of Wayne (predeceased), Robert (wife Marsha), Janis (husband Stephen), John (wife Shelley), Cathy (husband Gord), Mike (wife Janis) and Mark (wife Pam). Cherished grandpa of Natia and Austin. Alan will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Alan enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, golfing, playing darts and getting together with his special friends in Markstay. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Maison Vale Hospice for making Alan's stay very peaceful and comfortable. A celebration of Alan's life will take place at Janis' (Chabot) in Coniston Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at 1 pm. Family and friends are all welcome.
